Fuming...

I had lots I wanted to get done today; Andy has gone to work and suggested I had a long sleep before I got started! But the phone rang at 8.45 - school talling me that I needed to pick Mikey up as he has a cough! I agreed that he does but also pointed out that he caught the cold at school last week as many of his class also have it as  well. I then got called back to be told the Head has said he must go home, I said I would go and get him by car as I've been rather wobbly for the last few days, to be told I'm not allowed on site until 9.25! So I collected him as instructed and he then told me that he had been kept outside for most of the time since the school called me. Luckily we had already left as I was furious, the poor boy has a streaming cold so they left him outside...I'm still working on the logic used there to be honest.

Since getting home he has hardly coughed, but he is only too aware that if he coughs at school they will send him home again...But he has also commented that he would rather be at school as he is missing out on whatever his class is up to today! I was looking forward to some me time today as Andy has actually gone to work!! But instead I have Mikey talking at me constantly! I have managed to make Andy's Birthday cake at least...Just need to fill and ice it for tomorrow....

Right now Mikey is squealing upstairs and sounds fine! He has coughed twice since I got him home, if I can program him not to cough tomorrow he can go back! I love my son, but Andy and I had made plans for his birthday tomorrow...He has now gone outside and started coughing again 😞

I had a chat with my nephrologist on Friday, it did not exactly go the way I hoped. Basically I am stable at the moment, but there is nothing they can do to give me any more energy or to help me to sleep that will not impact my kidneys in a bad way. Basically the way I feel now is as good as it will be. Not reassuring in any way; especially after our trip to Leeds Castle on Saturday which pretty much wiped me out. Ive just seen his letter to my  GP, bless him as he has basically told them to prescribe tramadol for my back pain. Must get a copy printed for my records...
