Lockdown 3; Day 39

Last night was really not good for sleep. I settled down at a sensible time with my sleep mask volume set at a nice level and snug under the duvet with a cat on my ice blocks/feet. For some reason, in the early hours, the internet decided that it was no longer going to connect to my phone so I lost my musical accompaniment to my sleep. Unlike Andy, I need some noise to sleep - just not snoring! So long as it is in tune I can happily sleep! Anytime Andy isn't around I have a radio on all night just to keep my mind happy and a nice noise in the background as I'm on my own. So last night my lavck of tuneful noise woke me up. This meant I had to restart it all and stupidly I swung my legs out of bed to sit up...That definitely woke me up, to say it was cold was a minor understatement and our bedroom felt more like a deep freeze. Even the cats had vacated it so it must have been bad! Once I had got my noise back I snuggled back down - but then Misty decided it was time for a ses

Lockdown 3; Day 38

Well we have made it to half term....Mikey has won a gold card and his first house point badge (he has been a house point machine recently) and seemed to enjoy his las zoom of this term this afternoon! The class were asked to create their dream house a la Grand Designs! There are quite3 a collection of weird designs and only 7 of the class actually turned up - but they had a fantastic time with loads of giggles and light hearted teasing! Apparently it is like this in class and I think Mrs Pemberton really enjoyed it as well! To be honest it was a pleasure to listen in as they all had such a wonderful time :) I am seriously considering e-mailing school to congratulate them as it was a wonderful closure for this term  which has not exactly been the easiest as my son does not equate home with school work. Yesterday evening included a rather surreal conversation with Mikey... I was telling him that I will be going into hospital so Urology can laser out my kidney stones; this was met by a d

I thought it was odd that I had a Urology appointment today when I was still waiting to have my Totally Hydrated Scan done! The Nurse who called me (rather late as the clinic was over running) agreed and said she would chase up Radiology for me and they would arrange another appointment once I had been scanned. I just smiled and agreed, feeling decidedly happy that I hadn't had to drive into Canterbury for this! I went through to tell Andy and heard my phone ringing again, but by the time I got back to it voicemail had cut in! Brenda left a message asking me to call as soon as I could as the treatment plan for me had totally changed! Well that piqued my intrigue so I battled Canterbury's switchboard which kept asking really silly questions and eventually got through to her. It appears that there has been a consultants review of me and my records and the CT is simply too dangerous for me with my Kidneys at their current stage of giving up! They are therefore intending to zap

Lockdown 3; Day 36

Had a bit of a break from blogging...Mainly as I was totally exhausted and feeling a tad run down. Not a great mixture for me and then it snowed... 😲😲😲😲 Thankfully not too much - but then again in the UK more than 3 flakes brings the whole country to a halt!! But it is cold and this Heather does not work well in temperatures that start with a minus. Right now my hands feel more like chunks of ice and I keep shivering. But it must soon be time to hug a mug again! Mikey really can't understand how much I love hugging a mug of tea; but he did let me warm my hands up on him earlier which was nice 😂 He managed to land a gold card from school as well. It arrived this morning in a gold envelope (Which the post man had to fold to get through the letterbox - and not due to size, they just LOVE folding things) He was happy for once and then went on to be awarded a house point during maths!! Considering my failure at any point when anyone tried to teach me fractions, I am super impresse
