Lockdown 3; Day 46

Mikey and I finally escaped briefly today! I decided to deliver the copy of Urology's letter to my GP rather than repost it, mainly as I feel it would be too likely to get lost on it's second journey! When we got to New Hayesbank the post box by the door said strictly only for repeat prescriptions...Luckily a nurse appeared so I handed it to her instead! The roads were pretty quiet and I could have turned right quite easily...but I was enjoying being out of the house and actually driving! We turned left and came home the long way with a quick stop at the Tesco Extra to pick up a newspaper and allow Mikey to pick some sugary rubbish for his Saturday!! Once home I backed out of eating the vegan Hoisin Duck Wrap that Andy had bought for me and stuck to a ham and crisp sandwich instead! Once I'd happily crunched lunch I decided to get dinner sorted and rustle up a pasta bake! The sauce part went really well - other than may inability to taste it and breaking one of me favourite

Lockdown 3; Day 44

Yesterday has been pretty much written off - I was completely exhausted and just wanted to sleep! I did escape upstairs before 7 last night, but by 9 I was really thirsty so I was back downstairs guzzling water! This morning started with me getting an e-mail about my car insurance renewal. I was expecting a slight increase as I changed the car last year for a new one...but I really was not expecting nearly £400!! So I did my usual and ran through Compare the Meerkat... SAGA came up at £200 and the AA about £10 more. As these are both suppliers that I trust I decided to give Hastings a call to give them a chance to try to match them! It took ages to get through but I was not in a giving up frame of mind - I have morphed into Underwriter Heather and I could hear Colin Wiles' voice when he was training Shelly and I after we moved from Domestic to a joint team! By the time I had finished the renewal was down to £196!! Much better and far closer to what I was expecting; So happy Heathe

Lockdown 3; Day 42

No idea if this will make any sense at all. I woke up at a sensible time, tried to get up to go to the bathroom, crumpled in a head and woke up again at 11.00! I can honestly say I am feeling totally exhausted and 100% drained - all I want to do is sleep until I don't need to sleep any more! All I want to do is wake up feeling refreshed and ready for a new day rather than opening my eyes and feeling despair and exhaustion. Mikey only managed to get up 20 minutes ago! Yesterday he did appear downstairs before 12! He was very proud of himself but had only managed to put a pair of shorts on. Today he appeared wearing only his pants, but vanished back upstairs to put some clothes on! But even though it is pouring he is still in shorts and a t shirt! He did put a jumper on at least twice last week...but now it is apparently too warm to wear anything sensible!! I have decided that I am not going to ever try to understand my son, it just frazzles my brain far too much! Poor Andy is busy
