Lockdown 3; Day 29

I think the state of my health has really hit home today. I've been and had my Covid Test which was negative - a relief as I've not exactly been out any where. But I'm also far too aware of how tired and fed up Andy is, Mikey is also not happy as everything is all so strange and out of routine. And then there is me... I've had enough of keeping safe and this bloody vaccine has made me feel even worse. Then add in the daily insulin injections, the weekly EPO and the joy of any blood tests and the fact I've had 2 attacks of Accute Kidney Injury and possibly have stones again which terrifies me as last time they got far too close to killing me. I'm still waiting to hear about when my scan will be, but my next appointment with Urology is on 11th February. I have had enough of being prodded and poked over the last few months with nor real results or decisions. Urology were amazed that a biopsy has not been done to identify the main reason/problem with my kidneys. I&

Lockdown 3; Day 28

Feeling really rough today. My arm hurts loads and I'm dizzy; sleeping was a whole different problem, sleeping on my left arm is impossible but that didn't stop me trying! I spent most of the night alternating between too hot and freezing and wanting to sleep on the opposite side to that which was possible! It was a very long night... Right now I'm OK until I try to use it! I am so relieved I didn't have it in my right arm!! I can take things easy today as I'm not having my PCR test until tomorrow...they are now worried about the South African version of the virus down here so are testing 80,000 people to try to track it and stop it as soon as they can. For once I am still doing as I'm being told to  -  This never happens so I am recording it for posterity!! We took Mikey's remote controls away last night, as well as his phone. So he just came downstairs to watch TV. He helped himself to apple juice but left the glass out and all the lights on!   I am sligh

Lockdown 3; Day 27

Well I've been to the Kent Cricket Ground in Canterbury this morning and I have been injected with my first covid vaccination!! I was given the Pfizer version and should have my second dose in around 12 weeks. The injection itself was totally pain free but my arm now feels sort of dead and achy!! It is a very strange feeling and my head is thudding - I also feel decidedly sick but for me that is pretty normal! I did check that it is OK to still have my EPO injection tomorrow and was assured that it is fine! Mikey is really enjoying that I've been stabbed. We didn't make it back in time for his lesson at 11.00 as a woman in a BMW X1 seemed to have a complete inability to go over 30 mph all the way back to the M20.  I can only assume she doesn't use her rear view mirror and had no comprehension of the queue of traffic behind her! There were not that many opportunities to overtake on a rather twisty B road so we pretty much had to stay put. Andy did make me a mug of tea w
