Lockdown.day 57

Didn't get round to posting yesterday, to be honest most of the day was filled with trying to keep Mikey going. He has really got to the end of his tether with all the isolation.  I know that the Isolation advice has been lightened, but Mikey just want to see his friends and get his usual distractions rather than being nagged by Mum to get dressed  or open his curtains (I am beginning to suspecr  that he is going vampire as he prefers to be in a dark room!!)

We had a lovely Zoom chat last night with most of the Energizer Crew; including Sue from the States, plus Phil who had been banished to the basement and a few of the feline residents! I think the Zoom calls are possible the most Andy and I speak to each other (especially when Mikey freaks and I have to deal with that - Andy tends to run away at that point as Mikey wants me) That does make me a little down, once all this madness is over I'm worried we will be back to hardly speaking again...

Last night was another horrific night, I finally fell asleep just after 5 am, but then Mikey decided I| needed to get up to help him set something up on his X Box...I am the last person he should ask for help, I really have no clue about that thing, and with no sleep and fully engaged Zombie mode I am amazed I didn't blow it up!! He has accepted that he will have to wait until Dad has finished work and talk to him...hopefully they will bond over the game or something... I am finding it virtually impossible to get excited about shooting people in a game...guess I'm just too old and boring!! I think we need some nice Heather type came on it that I can play!!

Not sure what photo to choose today... I really need to get more photos onto my laptop, most seem to stick on my phone and never see the light of day! These are of the Italian Chapel on Orkney, we visited in 2007 (I think) whilst on a cruise to Norway. I loved the Island and Andy drooling over a girl jogging on the ship got me a pair of Amber Earrings!! He has since learned to hide his drooling better!!!

How Do I keep Going?

 This week I have totally reached the end of my very frayed tether. I am more exhausted than I have felt for months and I am also feeling isolated, un-needed and unwanted. |Mikey is settled at school, is doing well and making new friends and finding new interests. All I do it listen while he frantically searched for reasons for him feeling f=depressed. When he does come up with something you can guarantee that there is nothing I can do to cure or solve whatever he is worrying about. Worried

 We are now the day before Mikey starts at The North School....all they have done today is worry me even more that this is the wrong place for my son. I know all parents are protective - but he took so long to have and I really do not trust them to look after him properly. We have been provided a timetable which states that his first lesson is PE - Yr 7 parents have been told not to send PE Kit in tomorrow.... Also, he is in group 7x3....but the timetable has him in 7x2. If they can't send the right timetable how can I trust them to look after the most valuable thing I have? The chair of Governors has also sent a letter about the school joining the Swale Academies Trust. From what I have heard about this on local news I do not want my child at a school under their control. How can I get him out of there? Lockdown, Day 90

Definitely thinking backwards today!! 10 years ago Andy had to take me to Hospital for monitoring as I couldn't feel the baby moving and a friend in Scotland (who was also pregnant) told me to get checked! I spent all of the Friday afternoon on a monitor and having blood samples taken. The original plan was for me to go in on Sunday for my induction so I was sent home as they were happy my bump was doing OK and there was nothing to worry about! That was my first experience that I remember of how tired hospital tests make me so I was not in a cooking mood! Dinner ended up being KFC and a tub of Ben & Jerries as I had decided that the bump couldn't put that much weight on in 2 days!  Just as I curled up with my tub the hospital called me and told me to go back the following morning as my blood tests had shown a problem.
