Lockdown 3; Day 9

Last night was a good sleep, maybe I had too much blood before! This could be a whole new field of study, does your volume of blood have an effect on the amount of sleep you get!?!? So that is now my good idea for today - as I've peaked I think I am going to curl up with my kindle and start to explore the written world of the Bridgertons!

Mikey is currently in the middle of a maths lesson on Zoom. I don't feel that much attention is being paid, apparently one of his friends has the same glasses on as me! He is now gazing into the distance, nothing has been written down but I'm hopeful the extra questions will be done after the lesson has finished! He has another lesson at 2pm (a much better time so far as he is concerned) which is apparently about some notes/research that he did actually do yesterday. I feel most of his research was on Horrible Histories - but at least he did some writing! In the last lockdown he avoided that completely!

Misty is not in a good mood today. She was blamed for the destruction of the cat flap yesterday, but following an attempt by an intruder to get in this morning we now feel she was jsut trying to escape from Crunchie! He lives 3 houses away and is a big buddy of Rorys, they both visit each others houses and I have found Crunchie coming downstairs on occassion! THe new flap should arrive today and Andy has assured me that fitting it will not take long, but it seems that it's current locking method is not strong enough to stop fluffy black Divas from dashing through it when they are scared by Ginger Thugs! (I'm pretty sure Crunchie is lovely - but Misty obviously prefers Johnathan Van Tam!) Maybe I should introduce Misty to the Duke of Hastings....

Andy has decided that Bridgerton should be referred to as 'Mum Porn' and to be honest I doubt many Mums would disagree! But it keeps us happy so tough! It is not as if I've made him watch it at all - it has been my escape when I can't sleep because of his snoring so it is due his overwhelming gratitude as I haven't smothered him!!

How Do I keep Going?

 This week I have totally reached the end of my very frayed tether. I am more exhausted than I have felt for months and I am also feeling isolated, un-needed and unwanted. |Mikey is settled at school, is doing well and making new friends and finding new interests. Worried

 We are now the day before Mikey starts at The North School....all they have done today is worry me even more that this is the wrong place for my son. I know all parents are protective - but he took so long to have and I really do not trust them to look after him properly. We have been provided a timetable which states that his first lesson is PE - Yr 7 parents have been told not to send PE Kit in tomorrow.... Also, he is in group 7x3....but the timetable has him in 7x2. If they can't send the right timetable how can I trust them to look after the most valuable thing I have? The chair of Governors has also sent a letter about the school joining the Swale Academies Trust. From what I have heard about this on local news I do not want my child at a school under their control. How can I get him out of there? Lockdown, Day 90

Definitely thinking backwards today!! 10 years ago Andy had to take me to Hospital for monitoring as I couldn't feel the baby moving and a friend in Scotland (who was also pregnant) told me to get checked! I spent all of the Friday afternoon on a monitor and having blood samples taken. The original plan was for me to go in on Sunday for my induction so I was sent home as they were happy my bump was doing OK and there was nothing to worry about! That was my first experience that I remember of how tired hospital tests make me so I was not in a cooking mood! Dinner ended up being KFC and a tub of Ben & Jerries as I had decided that the bump couldn't put that much weight on in 2 days!  Just as I curled up with my tub the hospital called me and told me to go back the following morning as my blood tests had shown a problem.
