Lockdown, Day 52

This has been a decidedly odd day...Mikey has done Mathletics (3 sections) and has also written a short guide to Anglo Saxon Britain...well typed as writing makes his hand hurt so I went for the lesser of the available evils by suggesting typing rather than arguing to try to get him to write! The other advantage of typing is I can read it!

I'm slightly shocked anyway as I slept for 11 hours! I only woke up when Mikey poked me! If he hadn't I would probably still be sleeping serenely... I'm now completely in love with Fentanyl as it got me through yesterday with no issues or flash backs and by the time I went to bed knocked me out nicely and kept me out for a long time...can I get a safe version of it for home!?! Based on my recent sleep patterns I would adore to get real sleep every night for a change!

Unfortunately my good mood didn't last long as I am still really tired! And People seem to be increasingly getting more and more stupid the longer this pandemic goes on. Why are people convinced that petitions are better when you don't agree something than actually speaking to another human? When are the idiots going to learn that, throughout history there are many examples showing that talking can and does work whereas hiding and being faceless while moaning and whinging never achieves anything! I'm not going to share Andy's full response as it was racist but hard not to disagree with! My overwhel ing desire is to go and cough over the particular person! Although I an officially Covid Free and I actually saw my results whilst I was in Canterbury Hospital yesterday!! But they would not know that, and I am good at coughing when needed!!

I think Mikey may have brain ache now! I've just been firing questions about the CV-19 pandemic and the lockdown at him! He did start off well, but then every answer became Dad's Farts - amusing when you are 9 but not really what I wanted to record for posterity! It was starting to become as annoying as every answer to a maths question being Pi...

The whole world appears to be going mad - and not over Covid 19 for once, but over the death of a man called George Floyd. Any death is one death to many, but the Americans do seem to be reacting and using this death as an excuse. The riots in various US cities are causing Millions of Dollars in damage (physical and mental) whilst the mobs, which seem to have a high number of white member scream for the blood of a policeman who probably felt he was working within the orders he has been given. Personally I feel they should be yelling at the Orange Idiot they elected 4 years ago. How Do I keep Going?

 This week I have totally reached the end of my very frayed tether. I am more exhausted than I have felt for months and I am also feeling isolated, un-needed and unwanted. |Mikey is settled at school, is doing well and making new friends and finding new interests. All I do it listen while he frantically searched for reasons for him feeling f=depressed. When he does come up with something you can guarantee that there is nothing I can do to cure or solve whatever he is worrying about. He also has new people he can talk to so I am certainly no longer needed. I've also had my latest lot of blood tests done. I can't remember my access thing for my results so I can't look at them. My memory is failing even more than usual and I hate this. I'm also in constant pain and I can't do anything that is part of my usual way of living. I really just want all this to end. I have no energy, I can't sleep and even cooking something simple leaves me feeling dead on my feet. All I

Lockdown 3; Day 27

 Well I've been to the Kent Cricket Ground in Canterbury this morning and I have been injected with my first covid vaccination!! I was given the Pfizer version and should have my second dose in around 12 weeks. The injection itself was totally pain free but my arm now feels sort of dead and achy!! It is a very strange feeling and my head is thudding - I also feel decidedly sick but for me that is pretty normal! I did check that it is OK to still have my EPO injection tomorrow and was assured that it is fine! Mikey is really enjoying that I've been stabbed. We didn't make it back in time for his lesson at 11.00 as a woman in a BMW X1 seemed to have a complete inability to go over 30 mph all the way back to the M20.  I can only assume she doesn't use her rear view mirror and had no comprehension of the queue of traffic behind her!
